CAMILLA GRAY DipCNM, BANT, CHNC, ANP
I am a registered Nutritional Therapist working from my clinic in the seaside village of East Wittering near Chichester, West Sussex and online.

This was the old me, working as a flight attendant and not looking after myself. Just looking at this photo reminds me of how uncomfortable I used to be all the time. I feel better now than I did when I was ten years younger!

I spent years suffering, not knowing it was IBS or what I could do about it

At the time I never thought that I suffered with IBS but looking back I had all the classic symptoms. I was working as international cabin crew traveling from varying time zones on a regular basis, drinking alcohol, smoking and eating either plane food or processed convenience food.

I suffered from bloating after everything I ate, extreme tiredness, brain fog and chronic constipation that lead me to a reliance on laxatives, but I still just thought this was normal as so many of my crew friends felt the same.
I was left bedbound for 2 weeks down route after a busy month of flying, late nights, rubbish food and generally not looking after myself and I realised It was time to change, I had pushed my body too far.

I quit smoking after several failed attempts, started going to the gym and looked at improving my diet. I tried probiotic supplements on the recommendation of another crew member, and I was amazed they stopped me feeling so bloated and helped with my constipation. I then started taking a real interest gut health. After a year of taking better care of myself nutritionally and seeing a difference in my digestion, immunity and mood I felt compelled to sign up to a 3-year course in Nutritional Therapy and my interest in gut health turned into an obsession.

The huge difference in my digestion, immunity and mood turned my interest in gut health into an obsession

Since discovering exactly what combination of food, lifestyle choices and environmental factors triggers my symptoms and avoiding them I can now say that I live everyday full of energy, free from the worry and anxiety that IBS brings. My mind and body are in tune and I live life without limits and I still enjoy my much-loved gin and crisps!

Helping others with their digestive health is my biggest passion.
